The modern Kneipp cure (Dr. Franz Milz, telephone +49 8334/9893390) |
With his Kneipp therapy, Sebastian Kneipp (1821–1897) - who lived at Bad Grönenbach as a student - initiated a revolutionary development at a period when the thinking in medicine was very dogmatic and ultimately caused the great naturopathy movement in the 20th century.
The Dr. Krautheim Sanatorium, now the Private Clinic & Health Hotel am Schlossberg, has been a synonym for the living tradition of the wonderful naturopathic Kneipp cure for 50 years.

Of the five pillars of the Kneipp cure, the water cure, or hydrotherapy, is the best known treatment.
Stimulation through water cure
In our holistic therapy concept we use botanical medicines consciously in a variety of ways. Even today, they are enjoying a renaissance in University Medicine.
Treatment by means of botanical medicine
In much differentiated forms, a healthy nutrition and exercise are also important elements of our approach to the Kneipp cure.

According to Pastor Sebastian Kneipp, in the same manner that the human being can suffer from disorders in his health because of his lifestyle, he is also capable of achieving complete recovery by changing it.
As a medical psychotherapist, the 5th pillar of the Kneipp therapy is of particular importance to me: the regulative therapy. This involves the improvement of one’s physical condition through healthy lifestyle management in conjunction with a healthy soul. At the Private Clinic am Schlossberg we have precise initiatives for these goals.
